8 Secrets to Filling Your Career Coaching Practice
My co-host, Bobbie LaPorte, and I are delighted to announce that our speaker will be Career Coaches SIG member John Hadley, Career Search Counselor and Principal of John Hadley Associates
. John will present "8 Secrets to Filling Your Career Coaching Practice."
Five years ago John walked away from his highly successful systems consultancy to hang out his shingle as a Career Search Counselor specializing in coaching job seekers who are frustrated with their search. He teaches job seekers internationally strategies and skills that enable them to tap into the 'hidden' job market and find the best jobs now. John also works with professionals struggling to navigate around obstacles to achieving their career potential. He has since built that into a thriving practice that has served over 120 one-on-one coaching clients, a multi-year corporate engagement, and a newsletter distribution list that now exceeds 5,000. John has also built a steady passive revenue stream through his “Keys to Selling Your Achievements” audio program.
Many coaches have outstanding skills, but struggle for years to build a financially viable coaching practice. John has agreed to share with us the roadmap he’s followed to make that happen. Key learnings you will get from John's workshop:
- Avoid the biggest mistakes career coaches make in their 'free sessions' that turns away potential clients
- Learn John's SPEAK formula for converting speaking into revenue
- Uncover the keys to building a steady pipeline of potential customers
- Find out how to avoid common stumbling blocks you place in your own path to success as a career coach
Previously John worked in the financial services industry for 25 years. He began his career at Equitable Life, ultimately serving as Disability Income Product Manager. Commercial Life brought John in to build a new department, where he progressed to Chief Actuary.
John continues to be active in the community and the corporate sector, serving on community and industry initiatives, speaking at meetings, and contributing to a variety of publications. He also conducts a wide variety of teleclasses, webcasts, and seminars. He has a BS in Mathematics from Stanford University, where he also satisfied the requirements for an Economics major. John is a member of the New Jersey Professional Coaches Association and actively participates in and contributes to our Career Coaches SIG including help with the design and content of our website for the past two years.
Special Note: John has agreed to share a resource package to help participants on the call to take their practice to the next level.
