What the Enneagram Has to Offer
As a powerful framework for self-understanding, the development of social and emotional intelligence and personal transformation, the Enneagram offers valuable insights and tools that can assist clients during career transitions. In this session, Dr. Roxanne Howe-Murphy will be sharing information from her book, Deep Coaching: Using the Enneagram as a Catalyst for Profound Change (Enneagram Press, 2007), plus introducing specific applications for career coaches.
Dr. Howe-Murphy will address the following topics:
- A brief overview of the Enneagram system
- An introduction to the profound wisdom regarding the dynamic nature of the personality offered through the Enneagram;
- An overview of the nine wildly different personality orientations and the Focus of Attention for each which illustrates what an individual will habitually pay attention to, and points to the individual’s likely blindspots;
Beyond the many general benefits of using the Enneagram (info available on her website at http://www.lifewisecoaching.com/reasons-for-using-the-enneagra/), there are several additional and specific benefits to career coaches. The reason (s) your client is in a job search will give clues as to how the Enneagram can be most useful.
