Mike Macedonio’s career in professional referral
management began as part owner of several Business
Network International (BNI) franchises. In this role he
provided training to business professionals in creating
and operating professional business referral groups.
During his 9 years with BNI, Mike was involved in
building the region to over 75 chapters in 3 States with
over 1500 members. Mike also received numerous national
awards from BNI including the National Director of the
Year Award.
Mike’s work with the Referral Institute began as a
trainer in 2001. Training, consulting, and coaching
individuals and companies on how to build their business
by utilizing referral strategies became Mike’s focus. In
2003, Mike was hand selected to be the managing partner
for the Referral Institute. Since then the Referral
Institute has transformed from a handful of professional
trainers collaborating and working together to a
franchised organization. As the current President of the
Referral Institute, Mike works directly with his
franchisees and is responsible for showing them a
results orientated system to building their training and
coaching businesses. Ultimately, Mike is confident that
the training programs offered by the Referral Institute
will allow his franchisees worldwide to provide new and
effective ways for local business owners to create more
business by referral.
