Dr. Lynn Joseph:
Our April meeting featured Dr. Lynn Joseph, Ph.D., senior vice president of Career and Life Transition Programs, Parachute, Inc. and author of the highly acclaimed book, The Job-Loss Recovery Guide, who presented "Help Your Clients Get Their Careers in Gear.”
If any of your coaching clients are:
- Looking for a new job or thinking of changing careers,
- Wanting more control over the direction of their career,
- Women re-entering the workforce, or
- Planning for a “career” after retirement, then
Join us to learn how to get any career on the fast track. The presentation is largely based upon Dr. Joseph’s award-winning Job-Loss Recovery Program, which received special recognition from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The program was scientifically studied and found to help people get back to work in half the time compared to a placebo control group (results published in the Consulting Psychology Journal). Dr. Joseph will share her innovative Mental Image Technology techniques, the importance of developing a BusinessLife Plan, and much more.
Dr. Joseph authored “The Job-Loss Recovery Guide: A Proven Program for Getting Back to Work—Fast!” (New Harbinger Publications, June 2003) as well as the companion “Mental Image Technology compact disc recordings: The Job-Loss Recovery Program”, and “The Job-Loss Recovery Guide: Supplemental Guided Exercises.” She served with Fortune 100 companies such as Johnson & Johnson for many years in managerial positions in the arenas of sales, training, and human resources, and was also an executive search consultant. She then earned her doctorate in psychology. Dr. Joseph has been featured on hundreds of radio and TV programs nationally, and was also profiled by Fortune Magazine. Phase one helps people get over the emotional distress of job loss and build a vision of a successful future. Phase two guides people step-by-step through development of a BusinessLife plan—including detailed business planning and taking action.
