My Favorite Client
“You had a vision for me and my career which I never had……this would not have been possible without you!”

This was high praise from my tough, self-effacing client - a female executive in her early 40’s, working for a Fortune 100 international financial services firm. When we started working together she was serving in a critical, high-visibility liaison role in the organization. Through multiple organizational and management changes, she “survived” in the company but her superiors felt she had some serious liabilities in the areas of personal communications style, building critical internal relationships and acting in a more “strategic” manner in her role, so her promotion to Vice President had been put off. When given the opportunity to hire a coach to help her address her development areas and demonstrate her readiness for a promotion, she took the commitment seriously. She was promoted to Vice President two months after we began working together and recently, following a major organizational change, was asked to assume responsibility for a larger operating unit. And not only did she receive the highest possible bonus payout and salary increase at year end, but for the first time in 8+ years she did not take her PDA with her on recent 10-day vacation!
