About Us

The Career Coaches Special Interest Group (SIG) is a sharing community of professional career coaches co-sponsored by Coach U, the leading global provider of coach training programs.

This community provides resources to career coaches, and coaches who seek to specialize in career coaching. Our purpose is to help coaches to deliver greater value to their clients and to grow and sustain a fulfilling career coaching services practice.

SIG meetings are held monthly (except for July and August) on the second Wednesday of the month, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM ET, usually on a Telebridge (conference call).

Nora Whalen, President and Founder of The Institute for Beautiful Business, a practice specialized in coaching creative and ambitious female business owners worldwide to create and grow beautiful, profitable, and sustainable businesses while enthusiastically enjoying life. She is driven by a desire to help women discover their true mission, passion, and the key to success - being authentic. Nora’s compassionate, energetic, and practical nature assists her clients to stay focused on their vision while having a supportive yet challenging cheerleader. She is co-author of How to Break the Glass Ceiling Without a Hammer: Career Strategies for Women due to be published in August 2011.
Annette Cataldi is the President and Co-Founder of Vive la Vie Coaching & Consulting Services, a professional services firm focused on personal and professional development. She specializes in creating and aligning employees' personal visions with the organization's strategic vision, so that the goals of both can be exceeded and accelerated. Annette is an experienced leader in human resources management, business management, coaching and consulting. Annette also has extensive experience in strategic development and implementation, organizational change, and integrating cultures due to mergers and acquisitions. Her corporate background includes working as a VP of Human Resources for Lear Corporation with HR responsibility for over 50 manufacturing plants worldwide.
